Responsible for formulating the science and technology policies and plans on environmental protection of Beijing; organizing scientific researches on environmental protection, key scientific and technological studies and the promotion of technological demonstration engineering projects; formulating work programs and plans on standardization of environmental protection; organizing the composing of local environmental protection standards and reporting to Ministry of Environmental Protection for registry; organizing the implementation of environmental protection standards, and supervising and examining the implementation; participating in promoting relevant work such as circular economy and development of environmental industry; in charge of the dissemination of scientific knowledge of environmental protection; responsible for liaison with foundations, societies and industrial associations of environment protection; and responsible for other work assigned from the leaders.
