Responsible for drafting the local legislations and governmental regulations on environmental monitoring of Beijing, establishing the administration system of environmental monitoring, and organizing its implementation; organizing the establishment and management of environmental monitoring networks and environmental information networks; organizing and implementing monitoring on environmental quality, supervisory monitoring on pollution sources, and monitoring for environmental emergency responses and early warning; organizing the investigation and evaluation, forecasting and early warning of the state of environmental quality; responsible for establishing and organizing the implementation of the bulletin system of environmental quality, organizing the compilation and release of the bulletin on environmental situation, and releasing environmental monitoring information in a unified manner; organizing the compilation of the report on environmental quality of Beijing; giving guidance to the establishment and business of environmental monitoring teams in districts and counties; and undertaking other work assigned from the leaders.
